Nothing says Summer like an afternoon spent grilling with “man’s best friend” at your side. Hotdogs, burgers, steaks, and a drooling pup are a July backyard staple.AllSouth Appliance is proud to team up with local organizations Hand in Paw and Two by Two Rescue to bring you the event of the season – Dog Days of Summer!
We will kick off the party on July 30th at 10 am with pets, prize raffles, and grills. Come out to our Birmingham Showroom at 345 State Farm Parkway and see our selection of gas, pellet, and charcoal grills. We also carry every accessory you could possibly need– from grill carts to meat thermometers to griddles. Enjoy free samples and see first-hand how some of our phenomenal grill brands like XO, Green Mountain Grills, Evo, Coyote Outdoor Living, Lynx Grills, Broil King BBQ, and Alfresco Grills can make your next barbecue the best one yet! Joining us for the Dog Days of Summer is Hand in Paw Animal Assisted Therapy.
They help to provide therapy for helping countless children with special needs, at-risk youth, struggling students, and people with chronic and terminal illnesses. You can find Hand in Paw Therapy Teams (comprised of a human handler and a furry friend) in action at local hospitals, nursing homes, and medical offices providing animal-assisted therapy to those in need. They also frequent university campuses and businesses to offer animal-assisted activities. These activities can boost morale, provide stress relief, and reduce anxiety. Therapy teams also visit local elementary schools for the Sit, Stay, Read! program, which helps struggling readers find confidence and helps to improve literacy skills. Also coming along to the party is Two by Two Rescue.
They work to save the lives of unwanted, abused, and abandoned animals, care for them until they find their forever homes, and educate the public about responsible pet care. When they’re not attending community events like the Dog Days of Summer, Two by Two can be found every Saturday at PetSmart in Hoover and Petco in Hoover at The Grove from 12 pm to 3 pm. They host adoption events for their furry friends looking for their forever homes. You can read more about Two by Two by visiting their website here. Fortunately for us, Two by Two will be bringing along a few of their adoptable pets. You may even find a new best friend!
We could not be more excited to partner with these organizations to raise money for man’s best friend (and the humans they support). AllSouth planted roots in the Birmingham area and has since expanded across the southeast, but building and maintaining relationships within our community is a pillar of “the AllSouth Experience.” We are grateful to our customers for providing us with this opportunity to give back.
